We have a payload to deliver to the heart of our nearest star. We are delivering that payload cause that star is dying and, if it dies, we die, everything dies. So that is our mission, there is nothing, literally nothing, more important than completing our mission. End of story.

This didn't have to be as gory as it was tbh, I was sick from watching it

Horror is meant to be disturbing and uncomfortable. I liked the gore; it looked awesome and was unsettling. Rest is great too. Very creative, and I loved going into the other dimension. Some surprising deaths too, and great villains. By far the best in the series.

I definitely appreciated how they propelled that aspect although it got to a point where it was almost too much for me and I sat through vomit gore rip

To be fair, that’s kind of the point of the entire theme of Hellraiser. The box and tortures within are fundamentally meant to be extreme, excessive, unsettling, and too much.

It definitely works for the series/horror in general. I really did like the first 2 movies but I have no interest in continuing since the sequels go downhill

Hellraiser 3 is very underrated and actually better than 1. You should see that one. Inferno was oooookay too from memory but not a must see. I’d stop there, though I haven’t seems Revelation or Judgment (with Heather Lagenkamp) yet

Hellraiser 2 was way better for me. Felt more captivating & thematic and less tortury (although the first was great). Adored the final girl too, and the ending. It too feels like a fever dream tho.

Also, better villains (Uncle Frank was pretty bland compared to Dr. Challis, from memory) and the entire last act in the Cenobite Dimension really push it over the edge.

I still really like the atmosphere in this one. The dream-like vibes are amazing and I loved the final girl
