My Bloody Valentine (1981)
LOVED Sarah a lot more on the second viewing. She has total self-agency and is constantly standing up for herself against the love triangle. TJ & Alex are great and TJ is still my fave <3 The gory deaths are absolutely top notch and borderline creepy. The ending is so simply and effective. It's really weird how this film captured future generations of teens/young adults perfectly though.

Either I am embellishing a story for SHOCKING effect,
or I am the only one telling THE TRUTH in a room full of liars.
this is still fun. i wish it had a better soundtrack ( my only issue, which i only notice cause so many other iconic horrors from the 80s have memorable ones)
